Richly coloured, hop driven amber ale. Generous helpings of crystal malt give the Amber a rising toffee/caramel flavour through the mid palate, giving way to a smooth, pleasant and clean roast barley malt finish. Generous helpings of Galaxy hops give the Amber a floral and grapefruit hop nose. Medium bodied Amber ale, with a strong floral and citrus hop presence.

Why the WOOD DUCK name, well when it’s being poured it takes time to settle just like its name sake. This beer is light in colour, rich in flavour and has that classic tight creamy head formed from the nitrogen gas used to dispense it. As with most enjoyable beers simplicity is the key so we kept the ingredient simple using just pale barley malt, a small amount of coloured barley malt, a small quantity of low bittering hops and a generous though some would say no where near enough finishing hops to make WOOD DUCK appealing to all beer drinkers. A malt-driven beer designed to ease you into the more chilly days of Autumn. We have used a base of UK malt to give the red hue of changing seasons and a soft, sweetly malty aroma. "Old school" English hops lend the beer an earthy bitterness that lingers smoothly, balancing the medium body and moderate 5.4% ABV perfectly. Malted rye gives our Single Batch RIPA a spicy background to a beer otherwise dominated by New Zealand hops. Bright pine and citrus aromas jump out of the freshly poured foam, spicy rye mingles with a more marmalade-like citrus on the palate, and a slightly pine-resin bitterness finishes the cascade of flavours.
